It was initially constructed to protect Chinese empires from invaders from the north. Hike along the top of the Wall for about 2 hours, along a section less visited by tourists and one of the most original section of the Wall &#8211; don&#8217;t be surprised if you even feel you are the only ones on the Wall. Take in the scenery of the structure snaking through the hills almost endlessly into the distance.
